District Level and Sub-Division Level Grievances Redressal Committees formed

A District Level and Sub-Division Level Grievances Redressal Committees of all the districts and Sub-Division was formed in the state today. Thakur Gulab Singh, PWD Minister has been chosen as the Chairman of Kangra District Grievances Redressal Committees. Shri Ravinder Ravi Irrigation and Public Health Minister of Mandi district. Shri Kishan Kapoor, Transport Minister of Kullu district, Shri Narender Bragta, Horticulture Minister would be the Chairman of District-Level Grievances Redressal Committee Solan whereas Shri J.P. Nadda, Forest Minister of district Sirmour, Shri Ishwar Dass Dhiman, Education Minister of district Una, Shri Ramesh Dhwala, Food and Civil Supplies Minister of district Bilaspur. Tulsi Ram, the Speaker would be the Chairman of District Grievances Redressal Committees of both the Tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti.

The Members of Parliament and MLAs of the concerned districts would be members besides Chairpersons of concerned Zila Parishads, Panchayat Samitis, Notified Area Committees and Municipal Corporations/Committees would also be the members while Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district and all district level officers of different departments would be official members of these Committees and Additional Deputy Commissioner /ADM would be Member Secretary besides non-official members. The term of each committee would be for two years.

The functions of these committees at their respective levels would be to advise the government with respect to matters relating to Public Distribution System to attend the complaints containing allegations of departure from the Government policies and programme with regard to welfare activities resulting into undue hardship to the public, inaction on the part of Head of offices at district and sub-divisional levels and to ensure that there is no undue delays in the disposal of cases by Government officials at any level.
