Shri Nand Lal Sharma, Director Ayurveda today announced that a two day long state level campaign on ‘Geriatric Health Care Through Ayurveda’ is scheduled to be launched on 25th June, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Hotel Peterhoff in Shimla.
He said that the future strategy of AYUSH Department as a part of the campaign is to hold State, District and Sub Division level campaigns throughout the country for popularizing and propagating these methods of management of health problems. He said that the very purpose of launching the campaign is to inform the beneficiaries and target groups of the proposed services being made available in the public sector and to sensitize the service providers about the need to identify and appreciate the gravity of incidence of old age health problems and how to tackle them.
The two days convention would throw light on common old age health problems and suggest measures to alleviate the sufferings of old people plus improve their quality of life through Ayurveda methods of treatment.
