Essential commodities to be provided to consumers under PDS

Ramesh Dhawala, the Food & Civil Supplies Minister announced today that the essential commodities were being provided to the consumers in the State regularly while a provision of 90 crores had been made by the current government under special subsidy scheme which will provide the consumers with one kg black gram, Dal Urd and Dal Channa, 2 kg edible oil and 1 kg Salt.
He further said that the government is also making sure that the rice quota is available to all the ration card holders instead of the reduction in rice quota by the Centre however15 kg rice would be provided per family instead of 20 Kg, while 20 kg of wheat/wheat flour would be provided.
