HP to be a ‘cleaner state’-Deepak Sanan

Shimla: Addressing the two-day long state level workshop on ‘Total Sanitation Campaign’ organized by the Rural Development Department and Water and Cleanliness Programme-South Asia, Deepak Sanan, the Principal Secretary -Health and Family Welfare stressed upon making the state a clean state.

Sanan announced that under the scheme Sulabh toilets were being constructed besides generating awareness among people regarding the significance of cleanliness and maintenance of healthy conditions. He further said that the mindsets of people needed to be altered in order for the effective implementation of the programme with contribution from NGO’s and other social organizations.
