Director Transport asks private operators to stick to prescribed fares

In lieu of reports of less fare being charged by some private operators, Rajender Singh, Director Transport said that this was causing an unhealthy competition.
As per the reports, these operators were charging less than the prescribed fare and were overcrowding the buses so as to save them from any kind of losses.
Warning the operators, he said that the deviation could lead to cancellation on route permits and other stringent actions.
