Tanda Medical College HoD Suspended under charge of molestation

Dr. R.S. Yadav, the Head of Biochemistry Department at Rajindera Prasad Medical College, Tanda, was suspended. On January 19th he was booked under Section-354 of the IPC, when a student, resident of Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh, of Ist year complained molestation by him.

This was not the first such case against Dr. Yadav – ten years back he was accused of sexual harassment by a female student at Indra Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, said Principal of Tanda Medical College to Indian Express.

ADC Kangra, Subhash Kalsotra, told IE that Dr. Yadav did not make himself available for the inquiry till date. “After hearing the plea of the female student. I found no reason to disbelieve her and submitted the report to the Health Secretary.”
