Virbhadra Singh annoyed EC

The Election Commission of India showed displeasure over the violation of the model code of conduct by Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

Mr. Singh had taken two government vehicles and one private vehicle with beacon lights and sirens to Kinnaur from Shimla for election purposes, which is not allowed.

EC told Singh that this kind of conduct was not expected by a party which is in power and it “expects that no scope is given on your part in future for any complaint about violation of the model code of conduct.”
