BJP has lowered the traditional standards of Himachal politics: Rathore

Shimla: Congress asks its opponents to desist from a mudslinging campaign. Congress spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore today accused BJP for lowering the traditional standards of Himachal politics, in reaction to an advertisement published in newspaper by BJP for election campaign. He said, “Resorting to personal attacks by indulging in dirty politics is not a healthy tradition, the people of Himachal don’t appreciate this. People will once again vote for development by reinstating their faith in Congress policies.”

The controversial ad depicted the portraits of chief minister, Virbhadra Singh and his wife, Pratibha Singh, Member Parliament from Mandi amid serious accusations of corruption. The ad illustrates Virbhadra Singh and Pratibha Singh as money passionate politicians with currency notes in their hands while the people surrounding them are shown in despair condition. The ad appeals the public to vote for the BJP in a bid to bring prosperity in the state while personally accusing the chief minister and his wife of involving in corruption.
