Dhumal To Be Sworn As CM On The Ridge

Shimla: Prem Kumar Dhumal, after being invited by Governor VS Kokje to form the new government, is to be sworn in as the chief minister in an open ceremony on The Ridge, on Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
On being elected the BJP legislator party leader, Dhumal handed over a letter singed by all the 41 elected members of the party to the Governor, in the presence senior party leaders Shanta Kumar, Satayapal Jain, Jain Ram Thakur and Om Prakash Dhanker.
It will be for the first time that a chief minister’s swearing in ceremony will take place on the historic Ridge ground, normally used to hold only public addresses by Prime Ministers and other important national leaders.
