Man arrested with charas and opium

Hamirpur police has arrested one Purshottam Chand a cigarette and beedi seller of Badaran village of the district for keeping 400 grams of charas and 200 grams of opium in his custody.
The district police chief, Asif Jalal told this reporter that the police acted on a tip off and caught the person with the banned items at his shop.
A case under NDPS act had been registered against Purshottam Chand. Further investigations into the case were on, the SP added.
