A two day long Annual All India Radio Sangeet Sammelan was held in Shimla. This year AIR Sangeet Sammelan was dedicated to the prominent musician of 16th century Swami Hari Dass and programmes of AIR were organized in 23 cities across India.
AIR Sangeet Sammelan was organized every year since 1954 to encourage the classical and vocal music in the country.
Eminent artists from Lucknow ‘Gharana’ Pankaj Kumar Banerji and Swami D. Kumar Dass gave their performances on the occasion.
