BSNL is not able to provide new Broadband connection anywhere in the state. I had applied for a BB connection in Shimla in June and still haven’t received one. I am informed that there is no capacity for new connections. BSNL doesn’t allow private operators to operate BB on it’s landlines. It is ultimately the consumers who are being harrassed as the BSNL has neither the infrastructure to give new connections nor private companies are allowed to provide this service on their network. A typical sarkari mindset of working, I must say
Monika Ji, thanks for comments. I have raised the issue of poor and pathetic conditions of telephone, mobile and internet services in Himachal Pradesh provided by the BSNL on my Himachal and In print media also, in a big way. It is realy unfortunate that government controled companies and departments in this country have totally failed to provide services up to the satisfaction level.
Biggest proof in this regard is the largest number of decisions announced by the consumer courts in the country against these departments and BSNL is one of them. System has gone so blunt that it require our resistance and fight on every front to bring it up to the satisfaction level.
