Chamel Singh takes over as member of Himachal Pradesh Service Selection board

administrated oath of office and secrecy to Chamel Singh, a former IAS officer as the new member of the board at a function held in boards office at Hamirpur today. This post was lying vacant for the last three months.

ADM, Hamirpur, Hira Singh also attended the function. Chamel Singh was the Deputy Commissioner of Kullu before his retirement from the government service.

While talking to reporters present in the function, he said that he would ensure speedier declaration of results and to provide a neat and clean and transparent working in the board.

He said that the main endeavor of the board would be to select hard good persons so that the working of the offices where they would go was streamlined.

With induction of Singh, the board is having two members now. The board still needs one more member to fill the vacancy.
