Shimla adjudged “BEST TRAVEL DESTINATION” in the country

Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh has been adjudged the “Best Travel Destination” in the country for the year 2006-2007 in its annual survey conducted by Television Channel CNBC AWAAZ through Research Agency NIELSEN in collaboration with CNBC-TV18 news network.
Shimla the Queen of Seven Hills was also adjudged “Best Travel Destination in Health and Re-juvenation” and was also awarded “Best Travel Destination in Adventurous Sports” in annual survey of the news television for the year 2006-2007.
Mrs. Ambika Soni, Union Tourism Minister presented these awards to G.S. Bali, Tourism Minister in a function in Hotel Eros inter-continental, New Delhi.
Bali thanked for adjudging Shimla the ‘Best Travel Destination’ in the country, ‘Best Travel Destination in Health and Re-juvenation and Adventurous Sports’ and said that tourism facility and infrastructure would further be strengthened in the State. He said that State Government was committed to give further fillip to tourism in the State.
