World bank holds meeting with Himachal officials

A meeting of Senior Officers of the State Government and World Bank officials was held here today. Mrs. Parminder Mathur, Additional Chief Secretary presided over the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the development loan of World Bank to the State. Support reforms in areas like fiscal sustainability, development of key sectors like hydro-power, tourism, governance, environmentally sustainable development and other issues were also discussed.
Mrs. Mathur said that the loan would go a long way in accelerating the pace of development and infrastructure building in the State. It will also raise the living standards of the people of the State, she added.
A Presentation on First Development Policy Loan: Pre Appraisal Mission was also presented by the World Bank team.
