Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation records profit of Six Crore

Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has earned all time high record profit of about Rs. 6 crore during current financial through all its activities.
This was revealed by Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, while presiding over as Chairman of the 117th Board of Directors Meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, here today.
He said that the Corporation earned a revenue of about Rs. 44 crores and registered 162 percent increase in its turnover compared to preceding financial year.
Chief Minister said that the state government would be considering to develop one multipurpose tourism complex in the Baddi-Barotiwala area to cater to the growing demand of hospitality emerging due to the rapid expansion of the industries in the area. He said that one self contained tourism complex having all required facilities within its boundaries would be developed to provide people quality Himachali hospitality besides looking after them in a professional manner. He said that it would help in making such facilities available to the visiting industrialists which they otherwise had been availing at Chandigarh and adjoining areas.
