Himachal to extend IT education via HP Electronics Corporation

Shimla: Himachal CM said Government would explore the possibilities of taking advantage of the Himachal Pradesh Electronics Corporation in making students computer literate besides extending technical cooperation in carrying out computer literacy campaign to further ends.
Chief Minister said that State Government had started computer literacy programme in Government high and senior secondary schools and the same was likely to be extended to every Government educational institution in a phased manner.
Singh said that the codal formalities for setting up of two Information Technology Parks at Waknaghat and Nalagarh were nearing completion and ten internationally reputed companies had shown their keennees to invest about Rs. 200 crore over the same.
