Himachal gets its own passport office

passport.JPGHimachal got it passport office today at Shimla. Anand Sharma, Union Minister of State for External Affairs said that the new passport office at Shimla would go a long way in making consular services available to the people of Himachal. He said that shortly a website for passport office Shimla would also be launched and facilitate on-line registration and web inquiries of passport application forms. He added that as a further measure to streamline service, the District Passport Centres would also be upgraded at Dharamshala, Mandi, Nahan, Hamirpur and Kalpa to Regional Collection Centres to cater to the requirements of people living in those far flung areas. Himachal Chief minister joined Mr. Sharma in inauguration of the passport office.

    How can i get the status of my passport. i just applied on 16th april 2012
