Himachal’s Kangra district gets more money for Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojna

According to a press note issued by Press information Bureau of India Government,  The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Grants-in-aid of Rs.1.54 crore as second instalment of central assistance for implementation of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) during the current financial year (2006-07) to Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. The Ministry has already sanctioned Rs. 259 crore as the first instalment.

The grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilized for approved items of works subject to the conditions laid down in the SGRY Guidelines. The expenditure on implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Central and the State Government, respectively.
