Himachal developing 300 New Plots for Bhakra Dam Oustees

Himachal Government would bear the plot development expenses of over 300 new plots being developed in two new sectors to rehabilitate and allot the same to the left- out Bhakra Dam oustees. This was revealed by Himachal Chief Minister in the public meeting he addressed at Panjgain in Bilaspur Sadar Assembly segment of District Bilaspur on the first day of two days sojourn to the district and 19th day of his Winter Sojourn to the lower areas of the State today, after he dedicated 33 K.V. Sub- Station constructed at a cost of Rs 70 lakh at Beri to the people of the area and PHC building at Panjgain, completed at a cost of Rs 24 lakh and laid foundation-stone of science block of GSSS, Panjgain estimated to be constructed at a cost of Rs 59.50 lakh.

Chief Minister said that best efforts were being made to rehabilitate the remaining Bhakra Dam oustees in the new sector being developed near the district Headquarter. He said that the plot development work would be carried out expeditiously oncethe initial exercise of the basic planning was completed. He said that land transfer process was nearing completion and would be followed by plot development at the expense of the State Government.

    I AM BHAKRA OUSTEE. STILL WAITING FOR SOME INFORMATION ONLY. HOW TO GO AHEAD TO GET IT. MY FATHER APPLIED TWICE IN 1975 AND 1980. BUT APPLICATIONS WERE REJECTED ON FUNNY GROUND.SIDELINING THE SACRIFICES MADE BY THE OUSTEES UPROOTING THEM FROM THEIR CENTURIES OLD LAND.

    HATS OFF TO INDEPENDENT INDIA.WE WERE BETTER GOVERNED AS SLAVE. ATLEAST JUSTICE PREVAILED DURING THAT PERIOD. I HEARD IT FROM MY MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER.
