Himachal CM conveys Christmas greetings

Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister greeted the carol singing party of Christ Church, Shimla led by Father Shamsher Singh which called on him at his residence Holy Lodge on the eve of Christmas here today.
Chief Minister said that the teachings of Jesus Christ were relevant in present times also as only peace and brotherhood could lead to prosperity and development. He said that Himachal Pradesh was a peaceful State where people of all communities lived in harmony and participated in religious functions of all with great enthusiasm. He said that State Government was committed to the welfare of all sections of the society and was taking steps to redress the grievances of minorities so that all could get equal opportunities to progress.
Father Shamsher Singh conveyed the greetings of the Christian community to the Chief Minister and said that interests of the community were safe in his hands.
Many prominent people of the town were also present on the occasion.
