Arpana embraces the simple hill folk of Himachal as its own family. The glorious magnificence of the mountains conceals extreme deprivation and struggle for surviving.
Responding to the clarion call of the valley, Arpana came to Himachal. Some kind people helped make available an abode of service, and a small clinic was set up in the living room. The dispensary at Upper Bakrota was opened due to the need and appeal of village folk around Dalhousie.
